What should I do before a hockey game?

I have a hockey game tonight at 8:15 CST and I was wondering what I should drink like red bull, snake eyes, rooster booster or what? Then what could I do to get hiped-up for the game?

Listen to “Stronger” right before you take the ice, nothing else needed

don’t drink any of that crap. It’s just a sugar rush. It’ll only last you the first period or so and you’ll be very thirsty. Do get the blood going, just do some easy jogging around the parking lot and stretch. Trust me, when i played, some of my teammates who would drink that stuff would look great in the first, and tired and weak for the remainder of the game because all of their energy was used up in the first period.

on my hockey team a couple of years ago, there was this girl with really short hair and at the beginning of third period, she’d use her sweat to make a mohawk in it for good luck. You should get your whole team to wear mohawks or something equally as stupid. We also had a maskot, my friends little sister…

    P.S.
    Drink water.

Listen to some music, that is what I do before a game, it works! You become relaxed, so the game seems easier. It all has to do about your mood.

there are alot of things you can do to get ready for your hockey game. i wouldnt recommend drinking an energy drink before your game if you have never drank one before, because you dont know how it will effect you. You dont want to hit your high in the second period, and crash in the third. I recommend getting to the rink early, stretching, and getting ready so that you have plenty of time to mentally prepare for your game. if you have special songs you like, brink your own ipod, or something so you can listen to it and get in your zone, otherwise, your team should bring a boombox or something to blast music in the lockeroom. about 5-10 minutes before the game, shut down the tunes, and do whatever last minute preporations you need. some guys like to sit in silence, other guys like to yell and jump around a little, you just gotta find what gets you going. good luck.

u r going to think this is weird but it was prooven at the university of madison wisconsin that if you eat some sort of pasta it will triple your amount of energy trust me try it i tried it , it works like nothing else trust me try it

don’t drink energy drinks, its bad for you, i forget what NHL player said that, but yeah don’t drink them…..you should eat pasta, any kind, and drink some juice or water with it…..eat 1 and a half – 2 hours before game time…..when your done eating listen to some good pump up music, whatever suits you, and get focused on the game

I’d start by putting on your equipment. Cup goes on first. Do you think you can take it from there?

Don’t drink any of that stuff. Before your game you should have a big wheat pasta meal with a lot of water and then listen to some music that will get you hiped-up. For example, stronger or like eye of the tiger or something.

A good tip I got was to hydrate, drink lots of water during the day. More than usual, always have a bottle with you. Try it you’ll be suprised how good it works, you won’t feel so dry and tired. You’ll be going to the bathroom more often but thats no biggy. Stay away from the redbull coffee etc. Just try the hydrating and let me know how it goes, it works for me.

Drink a 16oz. red Monster, crank your stereo to some head-bangin’ rock, pee before you go on the ice, and leave it all out there.
That is my pre-game ritual, has been for a long time.
Works for me, although I don’t need much to get me hyped to play hockey. It is the best game in the world, by far!
    PASS SHOOT SCORE!

Those things mess you up real bad…..
I would suggest an alternative drink such as chocolate milk and a candy bar
