Things got a bit batty at a minor league hockey game in Wisconsin, with a bat entering the rink. Players used their sticks to take care of the winged creature. (Dec. 17)

Yep…and if it bites a spectator and that person gets rabies, there’s a risk of a lawsuit against the team and/or the arena owners. Corporations have been sued for less.
As brutal as it was, the hockey players did what they had to do. Who the hell’s going to hold up a game just so Animal Control can get this thing out of the arena, so that the thing can have time to bite someone?!
