I think they sound like Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers, at least w/ this song, which is an amazing one.
the lead singer sounds like bob dylan, looks jamie kennedy (comedian), and dresses like that jessie guy that won the MTV ‘who wants to be a VJ’ contest like 10 years ago. This band is legit

He definitely is for two reasons: 1) this is Live on Later!, they have a strict 100% live music policy, and 2) if you listen, he’s not always fully in time with the drums. I think what we’re looking at is a case of competent bassist.
I love this song, but this live version sounds like it’s been done by a poor cover band!!
